There was much excitement buzzing around local Facebook pages last night as So Popera Productions announced there cast for The Little Mermaid, which I’m costume designing.
The list, made up of familiar and new faces to team So Popera sees Talia Sigsworth and Jack Dawson cast as Ariel and Prince Eric. Other notable cast members are Tanya Boyle as Ursula the Sea Witch, Roberto Galanti as Sebastian, Craig Scott and King Triton and special mention to my partner, John Reynolds as Grimsby!
The So Popera powerhouse production team of Amy Copeland, Peter Copeland and Teagan Mckeen as Director, Musical Director and Choreographer are back to audiences with the kind of spectacular that Wollongong has become accustomed to in the past few years, since So Popera appeared with Avenue Q!
As for me, my work n designing the show is already underway and while I can’t give too much away at the moment, I will say if my team and I are not blinded by the time the show opens in January from the amount of stones, crystals and sequins we’re using, we’ve done something wrong…
